What is CBYF?
The Communities Building Youth Futures (CBYF) initiative in Grande Prairie, Alberta started in 2020 to explore the barriers that youth face in pursing education and employment.
We explore the range of local opportunities and community supports and look for connections and gaps to ensure youth graduate, start career training or post-secondary education, and successfully enter the workforce.

Want to get involved?
Youth engagement is our priority! Would you like to join our Leadership Table or an Action Team?
Youth between the ages of 13 to 30 are invited to join the initiative and share their youth perspective while gaining experience on a committee, assisting in event planning, accessing free training, and being invited to special events just for local youth!
Adults (30+) connected to youth-serving agencies and organizations, teachers and educators, employment-service providers, coaches, and local employers of youth are invited to be in touch with CBYF staff to explore options for being involved.
Connect to our Discord
Youth between the ages of 13 to 30 are invited to join our online space on Discord. Learn more about events, training, upcoming opportunities, and more!
Find us on Discord, or e-mail youth@cityofgp.com for help getting connected.
