MISSION AND HISTORY

Community Building Youth Futures : Grande Prairie (CBYF) is a local movement comprised community members that started in 2020 that is funded by the Tamarack Institute and the Government of Canada. We include but are not limited to youth, non-profit sector organizations, business people and employers, government, and representatives from the education sector.

Youth voice is central to our initiative as we strive to address barriers to education, training, and employment. Underrepresented youth are our equal partners as we look to achieve long-term social change in Grande Prairie.

Through the coming three years, together we will contribute to solutions to increase high school graduation rates, increase youth transition rates to apprenticeship, post-secondary education, and training, and increase the number of youth who are employed within a career path that they are passionate about.

Powerful youth building solid foundations for our future.
