What is CBYF?

The Communities Building Youth Futures (CBYF)  initiative in Grande Prairie, Alberta started in 2020, and ended in March 2024, to explore the barriers that youth face in pursing education and employment.

CBYF explored the range of local opportunities and community supports and looked for connections and gaps to ensure youth graduate, start career training or post-secondary education, and successfully enter the workforce.

Youth Career Discovery Expo

We hosted Grande Prairie's brand new Youth Career Discovery Expo on March 21, 2024.

Youth explored career paths, talked to post-secondary and career training schools, and tried the range of exciting hands-on activities!
